We have had 3 chimellas in our chimneys for over 8 years now and they have been outright the best products we have ever bought.

Just for context our house is 1865 and is a typical leaky victorian house. The chimeras have all but cut out all the draughts and we have seen a huge drop in our bills from what all our friends are paying.

I rang Chimella with regards to an issue with one that my son removed from the fire and Si came back immediately and arranged a video call to explain the fix and how it had been caused(operator error…oops!)

I have two of the standard size Chimella draught excluders. I’ve found that they help the rooms stay noticeably warmer and are very effective at reducing movement of cold air down the chimney on windy days.

Fitting and removing them is very easy and the customer service is marvellous.

I have been using them for about 2 years and  i used my stomach to reload as I have injured my hand. Big mistake and totally my fault I broke the handle joint. Customer service was amazing and totally refreshing. Although it was obviously my fault and I offered to buy a new part, Customer service just sent me a new part with no cost and the only payment was to spread the good word of how great the Chimella his. What a company.

My mom bought a Chimella but managed to get a bit confused with the instructions. She rang the helpline for advice and spoke to a very pleasant lady who sorted a call back within 10 minutes with Simon. He talked her through the issue and then video called back to help further. She was really pleased with the service she received and now the Chimella is up and in place the room is so much warmer and less draughty, even in these really strong winds we’ve been having. I was searching the Internet for a product to reduce draught that was coming through my chimneys, and came across the Chimella.  It looked much stronger than the other products I had seen, so I decided to enquire.

I was not sure which size Chimella to purchase and I contacted Simon and he promptly returned my call.  We are located in the same area, and Simon kindly came to my home to do the installation.

I purchased two Chimellas for the living and dinning rooms, which were extremely cold.
The rooms are warmer and has reduced the need for the heaters to be on unnecessarily.

Well what can I say. I met simon at a home show in harrogate and was totally blown away by his product and by his knowledge professional customer service.

I am 63 years old and I never buy on first sight of anything….ever.. but I was so blown away by what I was told and the confidence that simon had in the product that I went full in and bought 6 chimellas ( 3x large 3 standard) with a guarantee that if any didn’t fit we could replace with the correct size. He also offered for a what’s app call to run through if any issues which made me feel confident. He did state that everything was very clear in the instructions but as we are men we never read them. Funny but very true.

When I got home and unpacked my chimellas a I must say they are a proper solid bit of kit and really well made. These are not a cheap product and you definitely get what you pay for. I can now see why simon was so confident of his chimellas  lasting 20 years.

First 3 went up no problem when I got home but one was a larger flue than I originally thought so 1 buzzed Si. He came straight back to me and had a look at my chimney via what’s app. He then agreed that a larger one would be better and went through the super easy replacement procedure. He also showed me a hack to install without making any mess. My chimneys want been cleaned for over 15 years so it was a little dirty and in my eagerness to put up and not brush any loose debris away caused me to create  more dirt falling into the canopy than I should. Hack used problem solved!!

The difference in our big victorian house was noticed immediately but after a couple of weeks I can truly say that this product is an amazing. There is definitely a huge reduction in draughts but also we noticed that our doors closed better where they always used to blow open.

I really do feel good about this purchase and it is really refreshing to enjoy the whole process of buying a good product from a good company who will engage with you in person rather than a faceless internet sale.

I was always told “If it is to good to be true then it probably is” .Well simon and his brilliant invention has totally destroyed that myth.

I would 100% recommend this to anyone with an open fire.

Chimney Umbrellas are Brilliant and have totally transformed our Home. After seeing the Chimella demonstration at a homebuilding show I was blown away at how good it is but was a bit skeptical at how much of a difference it would make to justify the cost. Well no problem there as the difference to our 3 Victorian fireplaces was instant.

We have never sat in the front room without a jumper on and we could feel the difference immediately. More fool me for being a skeptic. You get what you pay for and the product is absolutely top quality.

Customer service is amazing too. I sent a question about our rear fireplace and had a call from Si within 10 minutes. He then offered to do a video call and gave us all the advice we needed to fit the Chimella.

Every company should treat you like this but unfortunately the amazon culture is ruining our experiences with good old fashioned valued companies like Chimella.

Great Product which isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for and with its long life of over 10 years it is great value for money. chimellas are way better than the cheapo chimney balloons and the old moth infested sheep that kept falling out.

When it’s as cold as it is currently, you can almost feel the centrally-heated hot air being sucked up chimneys!

We have an extra-large Chimella which I was deploying only managing to break the handle! Aside from its brilliant products, the great thing about Chimella is that it is run by real people like Simon. Having spoken to him, within 48 hours we had a replacement handle. Now that’s is FIVE STAR service.

Very effective product.
For many years we have experienced a chilling draught down our living room chimney, when not using it as an open fireplace. I had previously considered balloons and woollen plugs, but nothing looked as if it would be easily removable in winter, between fires. I finally came across Chimella after searching online, and was impressed by the obvious care that had gone into the design. I was also very impressed with the professional website, the videos and the glowing reviews.

I ordered a standard size, which was speedily delivered. The packaging and instructions were first class. After a few tries and careful reading of the instructions, I was able to install it and we noticed the improvement in draught exclusion straight away. When we needed a fire, it was very easy to remove the Chimella and dispose of the soot that it had caught.

When a problem occurred (caused by my forgetting to re-read the instructions some time after installation) and I contacted the company, Simon Facetimed me very quickly and sorted everything out extremely efficiently. I would not hesitate to recommend Chimella for the quality of its product and service. It’s worth every penny for the comfort it brings, let alone the savings it must make on the heating bills.

What fantastic customer service!! I sent a message via the website and voila within minutes I received a telephone call with FaceTime from the owner of the company giving me full instructions on how to use my chimnella.  I bought this product to seal my chimney and I cannot give enough 5*  The call confirmed I was using the product properly.  Absolutely fabulous product and highly recommend over any other including cheaper versions which simply don’t work.!!

We got the Chimella on Saturday at the Ideal Home Show in London. I thought it was a funny little thing but still wanted to see if it makes any difference… and what difference it made!
We installed it on Sunday afternoon and turned the heating on towards the evening as always. It was on for about an hour when we all agreed it’s time to turn it off as it was actually really warm in the house.

Message: Very impressed with the customer service and back-up. We purchased a Chimella about 7 years ago and have used it successfully since then. Unfortunately earlier this year, small part of the moulding on the extending handle failed. As a Chartered Engineer for Loctite, I knew which adhesive was best and used LOCTITE HY 4070 which repaired it successfully. I mentioned this briefly to the Stand Owner at the Ideal Home Show and he gave me a replacement part which is fantastic customer service for a product which was bought along time ago and has been utterly transformational in keep our home warm.

We have had the Chimella for many years now and I can’t tell you what a difference it has made. We have a through lounge and it was always cold and draughty. I can always hear the wind in the chimney. We had tried a chimney balloon in the past but it kept falling out . We bought the Chimella, which we thought was expensive at the time but we needed a solution. It has been fantastic and probably almost paid for itself by now in fuel savings. It was worth every penny and is still in good condition.

We’re really pleased with our Chimella, our living room is noticeably warmer after fitting it!  We’ve just moved to a new house and the daily ‘it’s freezing in this room’ conversation has stopped now.  I had some initial issues trying to get it to fit inside our particular chimney – the example used on the main video on the website didn’t work for me, as our chimney is a different shape and so I wasn’t using the correct technique.  Simon from the company was incredibly helpful and talked me through exactly what I needed to do by video call.  Now that I understand where and how to fit it, it is straightforward to use (I need to put it up as high as I can in my chimney to get past the slope bit and up into the main cylinder).  Thank you, great customer service and great quality product.

3 years ago I came across Chimella in one of the exhibit stalls at an expo at ExCel London. It sounded a great concept and the product looked high quality.
I purchased a medium sized Chimella – and I installed it within a few minutes to where it has remained ever since.

I know it is having a marked effect in reducing heat loss as it has made a considerable difference in the heat demand from the Tado Smart Radiator controller located in the same room. Also, we hear significantly less noise emanating from the chimney on windy days.

I purchased a second Chimella a few weeks ago and could not get it installed. The Chimella was deploying fully, but did not seem to grip the internal sides of the chimney. I thought the problem was that the flu was excessively large – too large for the medium sized Chimella.

I contacted Simon who suggested we jumped on a WhatsApp video call. Simon, quickly identified that the chimney was not the issue. My installation technique was the problem. He provided guidance on correct installation method. I successfully installed the Chimella within minutes, once my technique was corrected.

I should have paid a more attention to the instructions provided in the Chimella packaging (and on You Tube) rather than trying to remember what I had done three years ago when installing the first one.

Unfortunately I had damaged the product but Simon sent out a replacement before ours had even arrived with him and was straight on the phone helping me get the best fit.

We absolutely rate the Chimella, chimney umbrella! We’ve had years of draughts and wind blowing down the chimney in our lounge/dining room. We didn’t think it could be cured by anything, but as soon as the Chimella was installed – a very easy process – all of that stopped. The room is no longer colder than the rest of the house and as an added bonus, the Chimella catches all the debris that previously blew down onto gas fire and marble fireplace. It was a great buy at the exhibition!

We have an old range fire in our property. When we have high winds it howls down the chimney and also sucks out a lot of the heat. We tried several ways to block this but it was either unsuccessful or inconvenient when we needed the fire. Seeing the Chimella at a show we thought we would give it a go. Excellent… it ticked all the boxes. After having it for a few years we had a bit of a problem when I accidental broke the handle. This is when you find the good from the bad companies. Simon excelled in customer service, even responding at the immediately and at the weekend. Great product and probably the best customer service I have had.

I don’t often write reviews but on this occasion I wanted potential customers to know of the outstanding after-sales help that Simon (the owner) has recently given me.

It must be about seven years since I purchased my chimney umbrella from CHIMELLA and it has been the most successful way of blocking the chimney to stop draughts in our living room. Two houses later and hundreds of opening and closing the umbrella it still feels as good as the day I bought it .

Then, the other evening, I managed to open the umbrella and for some reason the handle snapped off and, although this didn’t stop me from still using the umbrella I thought it was worth an email to Simon late one evening to explain what I had done and to my surprise (and this was about 10pm) he replied within about 15mins asking me to send some photos of the section that was broken. He diagnosed what was needed within the hour . The next morning he phoned me and said he would send me the new part FREE OF CHARGE . I received the part within 2 days and fitted it within seconds.

This is truly a quality product with such exceptional after sales service and I know it will continue to last for years to come ???

I had read previous reports praising Simon and his customer service, I now know myself just how good it is. I received my Chimella this morning and thought I had broken it, it appeared to be stuck open! I sent a message from the website and within half an hour Simon phoned, then Whats Apped me to see exactly what had gone wrong. To my relief, I just had to apply a bit more pressure on the button (2 thumbs instead of 1)!! The Chimella has been fitted for a few months now and we have recently had some really cold times. The front room is draught-free and much, much warmer. One bonus which I am not sure you or anyone else has realised; this is a modern house with the chimney built on the outside (in other words the chimney sticks out from the side of the house). This chimney runs on the outside of our bedroom. The Chimella has made this room a hell of a lot warmer as well as, I suppose, there is not a continuous cold draught running down the chimney making the outside wall cold. Well done and I hope you are really successful and The Dragons have to eat their words.

We purchased the Chimella a number of years ago from Chimella’s exhibition stall at the Ideal Home Exhibition. We have an open plan layout in the house where we loose a lot of heat which is why we purchased the Chimella to help. Once installed we instantly felt a difference in the warmth of the living room. The Chimella has served us well over the years and more recently customer service has been excellent with dealing and resolving an issue (of my own making) in helping with a repair. Great product, even better service – highly recommended!

Because we may wish to use the fireplace in extreme weather conditions we bought a chimella a few weeks ago and fitted it into our sitting room chimney. It draws very well and creates a draught across the room and the adjoining dining room. The chimella has worked very well and eliminated the draught altogether to the extent that the doors can stay open. Any saving on fuel cost will be a bonus but the price was worth it to stop the draught.

I can not recommend this product and this company enough. After an awful year and spending much more time in doors I really started to noticed the cold drafts in our house and realised they were coming from the chimney.
After a google search I came across the amazing chimella. Unsure of my chimney sizing I sent a quick email to chimella and within 5 minutes I got a call back and asked if I wanted to FaceTime so that Si could have a look at the fireplace. Unbelievable service and gave me total confidence so after ordering 3 large chimella I was even more surprised that they turned up the very next day.
Well…service aside what an amazing product. The quality is unreal and the packaging is top quality. I think the old saying of ‘you get what you pay for’ is certainly true here. As instructed by Si I watched the videos first (which I highly recommend) but the difference once fitted was like night and day. Honestly I kid you not I turned off my heating as the house was getting too hot!
It has been a totally refreshing experience dealing with chimella and I am glad to say I that I have eventually found something that actually does what it says on the box.

I sent a message at 8 o’clock at night questioning what size I needed and within 5 minutes I had an answer and offer of a call back.Amazing. I was only going to try one first to see how it goes but I actually felt so confident after the call and an offer of a FaceTime help if I needed it that I ordered 3. 2 large and 1 standard.
The product is amazing and has completely transformed the warmth in my house. No more draughts and we have turned the thermostat right down.
They are really easy to use if you read the instructions or as I found out later watch the installation videos!!! but to be honest I did take up Si’s offer for a FaceTime and I got the full Chimella experience.

We bought it 2 years ago and its been the best thing ever for us. The house is so much warmer and no more chimney mess.
We had to release it on Saturday as a bird was stuck in the chimney. The chimella worked a treat and we safely took the bird outside unlike pre chimella when our living room was ruined by a bird coming in.
We love this product and we couldn’t live without it.

I ordered the standard ‘Chimella’ after seeing a demonstration a year ago in Harrogate in 2019. I was so impressed at the time and since have moved into a Bungalow which has a retained open fire place. Last Christmas both myself and wife Liz thought the living room was cold, well freezing I’d put it, even with the central heating on. We didn’t use the open fire at the time and never put two-and-two together that we were losing heat up the chimney. After seeing Simon’s video on just how much heat we were losing, we remembered seeing the ‘Chimella’ at Harrogate an investigated online. So, we had a chat together and sent off for our ‘Chimella’. Like most men, when the product arrived, I immediately got it out the box, read the instructions and the run straight to the chimney as if it were Christmas. Now I have to say at this point, I did something wrong! So, I emailed Simon and was stunned to have a private one-to-one Facetime chat with him and my problem was solved in less than a minute. ‘Chimella’ have great video’s which guide you through installation and even one in case of problems, but what a product! I fully endorse the ‘Chimella’ as it works for me and I’m sure it’ll work for you too. For anyone who hates losing money up the chimney, this may be the product for you.

Outstanding Product! – we have a large 27m2 listed living room and large fireplace, couldn’t heat the room well with central heating, and once warm it lost its heat within the hour of turning the heating off. Not any more… the chimella is amazing! the room heats in a quarter of the time and stays warm for hours. Anyone who has a chimney MUST get one, it will pay for its self within the year; and it really is easy to use. I really can’t praise the product enough.

As a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist – who lives in an old building with a number of chimneys – I can say that I am really impressed with my Chimellas. Their design and construction is functional and robust. I have been using them for three years and install them in the autumn and remove them in the spring: this gives me all the advantages of preventing drafts in the winter and allowing the building to breath in the summer.

We bought the Chimella at the Ideal Home Show but unfortunately had trouble fitting it. We thought it was because our chimney had been modified, so contacted Simon who immediately offered to come over and see what the problem was. However, it appeared that we were trying to fit the Chimella at an angle when we should have held it straight up the chimney. It went up in a few seconds when Simon did it, and I tried to do it myself and it was a perfect fit. Seems to be a great product and fantastic customer service. Thank you.

We bought three Chimella back in 2013 at the London Home building and renovating show. I think it was the launch of the product so I guess we have one of the very first chimellas. We bought one at the show but were so impressed with the results that we bought another two online. We use our fires probably couple of dozen times a year but the rest of the time we have the chimellas inserted and blocking the chimney.
I must say that the chimellas are brilliant and the difference it has made to our house being warm is huge. so much so that when you take them out you really notice the draught.Being a long time user as well it is great to find a product that lasts longer than 5 minutes so hats off to Chimella for such a solid well made bit of kit that really does do what it says on the tin.
It is rare that we really recommend any products to people or write reviews but we recommend Chimella to all our friends and have never had anything heard but praise for this great product.

I purchased my Chimella approximately 2 years ago & it has been a brilliant energy saving gadget keeping out the drafts. Unfortunately I was a bit heavy handed & ended up with a malfunction. I made contact with the company via telephone & left a message asking to be contacted. Simon got back to me very quickly & did some troubleshooting via FaceTime. It allowed Simon to diagnose the problem & ascertain that it couldn’t be repaired. As I was going to have to purchase a new one Simon offered me a goodwill gesture discount which allowed me to make a good saving. Have ordered my new Chimella & looking forward to receiving it. I bought my Chimella back in the beginning of 2015 and used my Chimella every day since. The Chimella is a superb product, saves heat, prevents soot and debris fall, and is easy to manage and operate. What more can you ask for?!

Great customer service also as I accidentally snapped the handle rather than using a squidge of WD40. Handle was replaced no problem that day hassle free. What a lovely company to deal with and a fantastic product which I would recommend to any body.

After a email from me saying l couldn’t get my Chimella to fit (more my incompetence than anything) Simon phoned me back within a few minutes. Without hesitation he came to house and fitted it for us. You don’t expect service like this in this day and age. Could not recommend this product too highly. Everybody with a open chimney should get one.

Outstanding Product! – we have a large 27m2 listed living room and large fireplace, couldn’t heat the room well with central heating, and once warm it lost its heat within the hour of turning the heating off. Not any more… the chimella is amazing! the room heats in a quarter of the time and stays warm for hours. Anyone who has a chimney MUST get one, it will pay for its self within the year; and it really is easy to use. I really can’t praise the product enough.

The Chimella does exactly what we were told it would do! We have an old Cottage and when the fire is not lit, the chimney creates a very cold room by the amount of cold air coming down into the room. This is now easily stopped with the Chimella. After accidental breaking one of the arms I contacted Chimella for help.
Great customer service with a call from Simon to help with a replacement and prompt delivery.

I purchased a Chimella on line, which arrived in a very timely fashion, all beautifully packaged. I had sought advice from the team on which size to order before doing so.
I did read the accompanying instructions and viewed the video before attempting to install it, but clearly not very thoroughly! I could not make the Chimella stay in the chimney, so after an hour and a face full of soot, I admitted defeat. I then fired off an email on a Sunday afternoon telling Simon that I could not make it work and that it must be broken as clearly it was a fault with the Chimella and not with me. I expected to hear in a few days, but in fact received a call first thing on Monday morning. Simon took a great deal of time trying to find out where I was going wrong as in his words “if you spend more than a few seconds on this, you are doing something wrong”. He suggested I send him some ‘photos of the inside of my chimney so he could advise further. He even offered to come to my house and install it for me, despite living c. 1.5 hours from me. This, I thought, was above and beyond anything I could have expected.

True to his word, Simon arrived this weekend on the nicest day of the year and installed my Chimella, showing me in the process just how simple it is. It is a fantastic product and I cannot rate it highly enough. As I do not want to view the handle, Simon installed it such that it could not be seen, as it is a non-working fireplace.

From start to finish, the service offered by Simon has been outstanding. To travel that distance, at his own expense and on a Saturday, was customer service at its every best. It would have been so much easier to just tell me to study the instructions and video again, but as a true professional, and someone who believes in his product, Simon wanted to prove how incredibly easy it is to install and how right he is!

I received the replacement canopy the other day and a big thank you for sorting this out on the phone for me and explaining what i had done, Great service. After having one last fire for the winter on Sunday when it was really cold and snowing I fitted it yesterday and my wife and I sat in the lounge last night agreeing that the room was noticeably warmer and also that for the first time since we moved here eleven years ago, there are no draughts coming through the cracks in the partition doors that we both sit in line with in different parts of the room.

Chimella – Great British Invention and Great Customer Service
I met Simon at this year’s Grand Designs and purchased a Chimella, based on the fact that I could see that it would
A. Stop a lot of heat escaping up the Chimney when the fire is not in use and B. It would keep my heating bills down.
I used the Chimella a few times and accidentally broke some parts on the canopy, got in touch with Simon via email, got an immediate response and an explanation as to what could have happened, I used the on-line video’s which are a great help for troubleshooting.
The following day I received an email from Simon, saying that the company would be sending a replacement canopy out free of charge, Great British Invention along with Great Customer Service

After bumping into Simon this year at Grand Designs we just had to express how pleased we were with our chimellas and promised that we would write a review. So here we go.
We bought 5 chimellas from Grand Designs in Birmingham 3 years ago, 3 standard and 2 Large. The differance to our home has been amazing and our once very draughty victorian terrace house is now warm and cosy. Our doors now close without being blown open and our bills have been massively reduced. As usual we forgot how good the product was until we recently took one out in our front room for a fire. All was great and nice to have a fire for a change until we came down in the morning and the house was freezing. We couldn’t understand why until we went down stairs and noticed that we had left the chimella on the hearth before we went to bed and not put it back in the flue. So I quickerly poped it in the flue and literally within 10 minutes the house was warm again. Unbelievable. What a brilliant Product.
A great british invention and we can not recommend this product enough. This is definately no gimmack and it will make a a massive differeance to any home which was as draughty as ours.

Having ordered 3 Chimellas, I was very impressed by their firing power, but unfortunately after excitedly firing round the house 2 stopped working, so i decided to read the instructions. After successfully installing the remaining chimella, I phoned Chimella to see what could be done with the damaged devices and had an enjoyable and informative conversation with Simon the inventor. He was able to explain exactly what I’d done wrong and how to operate the Chimellas correctly, kindly offering to replace the two I’d broken. While waiting for the replacements, we had some awful weather, which sent all manner of dirt down our chimneys and out onto the carpets, except for the chimney with the Chimella, which was clean as a whistle. Now having received and correctly installed (thanks to Simons advice) the 2 replacement Chimellas we have again had some wet and very windy weather & I’m pleased to say there has been no dirt fowling the carpet and there is a noticeable lack of draw going up the chimney. All boxes ticked. Extremely happy with my purchase and particularly the service that I received. Thank you very much.

We installed this in our chimney (also aided by your YouTube demo, which was great!) and it works a treat, we’ve already noticed a change in the ambient temperature in the room.

Excellent customer service. I had a problem with my Chimella but in spite of the fact that it was 18months old (and totally my fault) Simon kindly replaced it free of charge. He also kindly explained what had happened and how it had been broken. A very thorough report and great to see a company that has so much pride in their product. Well done and thanks.

Wonderful service , prompt delivery ( and thanks Simon for the demo ). Simon even drove to my house to fit the product free of charge and give me a one to one demonstration. An ingenious product which works superbly.
Simon told me that i proberbly would need to turn my heating down after fitting. Foolishly i douted him and after about an hour i turned the heating off!!!! it now comes on briefly for 10 min in the morning and them stays off all day.

Thank you Si for sending me a replacement Chimella, it was especially good of you as it was due to the chimney taking in water that damaged the first one and not a direct problem with your product. I have to say that it makes an amazing difference to the temperature in my house, I couldn’t recommend it more, far superior to the other ways I have previously tried, as it is so easy and clean to use especially folding up so neatly. My house has two large chimney flues in the sitting room and during my first winter I was seriously concerned I’d never be able to afford to keep it warm. Then I was advised to block off the flues and some research led me to Chimella. What a great product. The room is noticeably warmer and as it’s so easy to insert and remove, I always block the flue when not using the fire – even in summer. My friends who use awkward, mess-creating chimney balloons, on the other hand, can only bear to go through the removal process once a year – so if they unblock too early they just have to put up with the cold! I must also mention the great service I received from Simon. I managed to get one of my chimellas jammed (despite the ease of operation) because I didn’t follow the instructions properly – but nothing was too much trouble for Simon who personally sorted out everything for me. I couldn’t recommend Chimella more highly.

Having bought 8 of these on a whim at grand designs the pressure was on for this product to work; our Victorian house was draughty from all angles we simply hadn’t realised quite how much we were loosing up the chimney. The Chimella umbrellas did exactly what they were supposed to do simply and quickly we would happily recommend this to anyone.

Bought one of your chimney umbrellas at Grand Designs 2014, this made a significant difference to the amount of rubble and draft I was experiencing in my front room (where original fire hearth had been replaced with a gas installation); however, our Victoria flue system is quite convoluted and the model I got wasn’t blocking everything. Saw you again at Grand Designs 2015 and got the new larger version of the chimney umbrella, I’m delighted to say that not only can this be positioned far lower in the chimney shaft it hasn’t let a single piece of debris come through since I installed it a week ago and their is no draught at all. Money well spent.

I bought an umbrella from you in 2013 at the Home Building & Renovation show and have been extremely pleased with the product, unfortunately whilst removing it to clean it I managed to break the handle, on my return to the show this year I was extremely pleased after explaining my mishap, you kindly gave me a replacement handle free of charge even though I was prepared to pay for it.

When I first contacted Chimella and was told you did not make the chimney umbrellas the size I needed for my very large inglenook fireplace I was so disappointed, but then you called me saying you were doing your best to sort out the problem. From there on in there was no problem, you quickly came up with a solution and sourced and sorted a bespoke chimney register plate to fit my fireplace perfectly and together with the Chimella it is a huge success.

We had long seen a problem in heat loss in our lounge through our open fireplace. Seeing the Chimella at the Ideal Home Christmas show seemed to offer the solution and that is certainly what it has proved to be as we can really notice the difference when it is in place. There have been no problems with the fit and it is easy to remove and store away when the fire is in use.

We have had a problem with our fitment but an email, which brought a very prompt response, and a phone call later and the problem was solved so excellent service as well. Highly recommended!

We received our Chimella as a Christmas gift and it proved so easy to use.  It seals up the chimney stopping drafts from coming down,  stopping warm air from going out and also stopping soot and other dust from being blown back into our living room.

We don’t have a fire every day so it means as soon as the fire has gone cold, we can pop in the Chimella and stop losing any more heat and reduce drafts in the house.

Without doubt it was one of the best Christmas Presents we received this year.

Last year we saw you at the same show, you were just starting out but the Chimella was exactly what we were looking for and needed for our very draughty sitting room. We were so pleased to find a product that totally fitted our needs.

All through last winter we were able to enjoy our sitting room in a draught free environment. I wonder how many people realise how draughty an unlit gas fire can be? We haven’t worked out how much money we’ve saved, but we’re certainly sure that it’s an amount to be pleased with!

We think your product should be sold with every new chimney built and certainly available in all DIY stores. Thank you so much for your brilliant product and good luck with every thing for the future.

Just a quick note to say we bought 4 chimellas from you last year at Grand Designs. I promised myself that I would not buy anything from the show but with your convincing pitch I did. Well I must say that the chimney umbrella is by far the best product I have ever bought.
I was a bit skeptical at how good you said they would be but I must say I now think that you were completely right.

They went in all very easy (after I read the instructions – typical man) and within minutes I could noticeably tell the difference. The real proof came this week when I re evaluated my energy bills and found that we have been reduced by £60 per month.
